Our Story
Founded in 2016, A Missionary's Love Children and Women ministry has been serving youths and their mothers throughout our community for over 7 years. I Lesa Franklin (Founder) started as an individual with a dream, once having experienced poverty as a young woman. Lived without electricity, running water and often no food. Utilizing flashlights at night navigating my way throughout the home, it was then I developed a deep compassion for those who were less fortunate having an understanding of what it was like to be hungry and destitute. A young woman having been also forced years later to care for five children who were abandoned, I could not walk away from the small children, the youngest being one month old. Giving up dreams of becoming a Prosecution Attorney, dropped out of college to care for the children with the help of my mom and younger sister, I settled for Management Certification.
The children are now young adults, all graduated from high school . The eldest child recently graduating as a Phlebotomist, the youngest employed by The Federal Aviation Administration (ATCT) and one a Security Guard, I am proud to have been given the opportunity to be their guardian mother. it has helped me to become a mother of many, understanding the feelings and emotions of children . Over the years my organization has grown, comprising of volunteer workers who share the same compassion, caring and helping Children, Teens and Mothers achieve their goals and succeeding in life.
